Divisions Volleyball
For players still working their way up to an elite level or maybe at a stage in life where they're past their prime but still able to play some good volleyball, the Divisions in the WAVL competition are a great place to play competitive volleyball.
All Balcatta teams have accredited coaches and training sessions at least once a week to help improve skills.
In 2021 there are 5 division of Men's teams and 3 divisions of Women's. The club has a team in every available division of WAVL.
Div1 Men is a side entered from Hale School coached by Kieren Cranley. The team had some problem injuries and absentees through the season and struggled a little bit to always achieve what they're capable of. Finishing 7th on the ladder is not a true representation of how talented these players are and the team is.

Div2 Men fought hard well in the second half of the season to make it to finals. Sam Timmerman has stepped up to coach them in the final stages.
Div3 Men is coached by Layne van Smaalen, also player on the team and President of Balcatta Volleyball Club. They finished the season with only 2 losses to Southern Cross. Hoping to face them one more time in the grand final on the 19th September.
Div4 Men is coached by Damon Radburn. Also a player on the team and coach of the Div3 Womens' team. They have had a great season and are working towards a Grand Final spot on 19th September.
Div5 Men is coached by Andy Nguyen who also plays on the team. They've had a very successful season helped with some valuable late inclusions and players returning from injury. Sights are firmly on the Grand Final on 19th September.
Div1 Women is coached by Miyu Udo who also plays for the Reserves team. They finished the season in 2nd spot and play Reds on Sunday 12th to earn a spot in the Grand Final on the 19th September.
Div2 Women is coached by Misa Tagomori. They finished the 2021 season in 4th and had to go into their Semifinal without Coach Misa and also missing one of their setters. Fill-in coach Layne van Smaalen was unable to work any miracles and the team was eliminated from finals in straight sets. They're already looking toward next season.
Div3 Women is coached by Damon Radburn. They finished 3rd but lost their semi final against #4 UWA Blue in a close, hard fought 5 set game.
