Round 6 of the 2009 PVL season was a mixed bag for the Balcatta Volleyball Club with the Cats winning six out of ten games played. The Cats maintained their unbeaten run in the men's Division 2 and 3 and women's Division 1 and 2 competitions. But while our women's Superleague team battled hard against league leaders UWA, the reigning Balcatta men's premiership team continued to struggle this year -losing to Rossmoyne in four sets after a promising start to the game. For the second week in a row, Balcatta Masters had a thrilling five set marathon win - this week over Southern Cross Masters - with the score in two sets exceeding 30 points.

Read all about it in the newsletter attached.

And a big congratulations to the WA women's AVL team, the WA Pearls for making the AVL finals without losing a match. We wish them well for the finals rounds in Melbourne on 25 and 26 July.

And don't forget after Round 7 this Sunday, there will be a two week general bye while our juniors participate in the national competition. Please check with your coach regarding training sessions over this period.
